For the handsome fellas… We wanted to make sure to get the guys something they’d actually like. All of these boys enjoy a drink (or a few) as part of their celebration tactics, so we decided to get each guy a personalized flask. The kit came from eflasks.com and includes the flask (we had their first and last name engraved on it) as well as a funnel and stainless shot glass. We decided not to put the wedding date or groomsman on the flasks, so that the boys could use them long-term (if they wanted). Since we bought 4, they were only $20 a piece!
I did some recon action, and found out what each boy preferred to drink, and bought them a small bottle of their liquor of choice.
They each also got a pair of those awesome purple argyle socks! They probably won’t appreciate the socks like I do, but I don’t care… I really want one of the those pics with the boys pulling up their pant legs to show off thier goofy socks. 🙂 It’s gonna be great.
On top of that I made each guy a smell-good kit containing a small thing of Axe deodorant and body spray as well as wisps, a small pack of gum, and a tin of altoids. I put the kit in a medium sized “treat bag” that I found at target. The pack of 20 was only 2 bucks.
I also made each guy a hangover kit. It contains a packet of emergen-C, two pepto tablets, a packet of advil, a granola bar, a small bottle of water, and a packet of instant starbucks coffee. These boys all know how to celebrate, so I imagine this little kit will come in handy the morning after. 🙂
For the gift bag, I bought a four pack from Hobby Lobby for $1.00. My hubby-to-be loves to hunt/fish/etc and lovvvves him some camo, but I just couldn’t let him have camo stuff at our wedding… the only camo I think our wedding needs is the background of the great outdoors. As a compromise, I added a sheet of camo scrapbook paper to the GM giftbags (as well as their monogram), and I added it to the hangover kit. He was pretty pleased.
I’m also going to add the Thank You cards (at the bottom) to the gift bags. Each will have a short and sweet thank you not written on the back, and will be tied to the bag with black ribbon.
We do have one groomsmen who is only 17 (my little brother). Instead of a flask, because my Mom would kill me, we got him a personalized stainless steel water bottle from etsy (https://www.etsy.com/transaction/82227013) with his name and Groomsman engraved on it. I got him his favorite energy drink instead of alcohol, and, instead of a hangover kit, I just got him some snacks. He still got a “smell good kit”.
