lol. Ok, it may not be that great, but I did make a Haute Bride inspired bracelet. The pictures aren’t that great, but I’m actually pretty proud of it, being that this is my very first jewelry making project. I included 4 blue beads near the clasp of the bracelet for my “something blue.” I’m so excited to wear this on our wedding day!
My dress is ivory, so I chose to purchase ivory colored, glass-based pearls. I used 8mm pearls for the center row, 6mm pearls for the two rows outside of that, and 4mm pearls for the outer two rows.
I also purchased some swarvoski crystals and blue crystal beads from Hobby Lobby. In the outside rows I put a swarvoski crystal after the 2 first 4mm beads. Then, at the end of that strand I put my blue crystal bead, then ended that line with 2-4mm pearls.
This tutorial helped me understand how to used crimp beads. I did not follow it completely as I just used the crimp bead and brought the strand of wire back through and crimped it.
I’m thinking about opening an Etsy store and making some various jewelry. This was actually a really fun and relaxing project for me. So, if you’re interested, or just have more questions, please just shoot me an email at [email protected].
thanks for the compliments! I also made a grecian style headband and my earrings for the wedding day so they all matched. My headband was a 3 strand with pearls and swarvoski crystals in it. I’ll post pictures soon. I also made my bridesmaids jewelry, which included silver pearl earrings, bracelet, and ribbon tied necklace. Please let me know if you’re interested in anything. I’m definitely willing to make custom orders.
So beautiful! I was thinking about tackling this project too but got discouraged when I finally went to Michaels craft store to buy the pearls. You have re-inspired me! Thanks for including the links where you bought your materials. I’m on it!!
