as far as it being too small not really any suggestions because i am not sure people are going to understand the extra vases. (it took me a couple reads) but if its what you want the GO FOR IT!

But one tip i have learned in getting flowers home from work….i open up the center console of my car (take out the tray if you have one. and viola! it stands up!! you may need a towel for some extra space so it doesnt know around but thats my tip lol

We are doing a sand ceremony too and I was wondering about the transport of the vase after too!?

My only suggestion is to not use the two larger vases and go to the dollar store and buy 6 small ones. (Maybe you can use the other large two to hold your flowers during the reception or something else so they are a total waste)

I also read somewhere that a couple used melted wax from a candle to seal in the sand, not sure if it worked or not, just something i read but its an idea to try out before.

I agree with leannamri3- buy 6 vases the same size. Now I will say that we did a sand ceremony as well at our october wedding and we bought a glass container that had a lid so that when it sat on our ‘wedding shelf’ dust and dirt didn’t get into the sand. and then when we got home the 2 containers that we poured the sand from now have shells in them and they all are together.

Michaels sells clay that you can mold and it dries as cork. I’ve used it to make stoppers for shaped bottles before so maybe it would work for the vase!

I Plan on doing my unity sand in one of those glass blocks you can get from like Hobby Lobby or michaels. .. they generally decorate them and put lights in them. But its sturdy and it closes.

They will also etch the glass so you can have your name on there. So cute.
