- Wedding: July 2012
I desperately need some help brainstorming…our wedding is being held at an amazing venue in Rochester, NY called Artisan Works. The room is simply amazing and is used for both wedding ceremonies and receptions…
reception setup (a bigger view of the whole room):
we are only having our ceremony there, so it will be set up like pic #1, but I wanted to give a good idea of what the room as a whole looks like.
My dilemma is this: because the room is already so “decorated” I know I don’t need to go crazy with aisle decorations, but would like to add something of my own touch. I was thinking of pomanders (because I really love them and am dying to DIY some) but the problem is the chairs there are these kind for ceremonies:
and don’t offer a really good place to hang them from. I’m afraid that hanging from the top hole will make them hang behind the chairs, and hanging from the side is too low.
Our contract with the venue states that simple decorations (things that don’t need much work) will be done by the coordinators, but bigger things would need to be done by us. Our wedding is at 1pm, so we don’t have time that morning to take care of anything crazy, with everything else going on that AM.(I love the ribbons on the chairs in the one pic – but that would fall under the “we’d have to do it ourselves” category)
All I know other than not doing pomanders is that I don’t want the hassle of an aisle runner.
So, bees – can you help? What would you choose to decorate the aisle with?
Suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!!! Thank you!!!
