I found this adorable menu on Martha Stewart Weddings:
Unfortunately, when I downloaded the template, I could not, for the life of me, figure out how to cut/glue/fold it together to get what you see in the picture. Looking at the comments on the website, I’m not the only one struggling to figure this out. I’m hoping to enlist the awesome power of weddingbee crafti-ness to find the answer.
This is what the template looks like:
I will be eternally indebted to anyone who can figure this puzzle out.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Ok I think I figured it out for you. First of all realize this is paper bag that is pleated on the sides but does not have a flat bottom.
After you cut out the shape Snip a slit at the vertical marks on the bottom of the template.
You will notice a horizontal line down there, fold the paper along the horizontal line from one line to the next. Unfold until later.
On the top there is a vertical line on each side of the word menu, fold your paper with a vertical line going straight down. Fold each side behind the part that says menu (you can only do one side at a time and then unfold.
The set of vertical marks one step farther out on each side needs a vertical fold in the other direction (again you can only do 1 side at a time.)
The next farther vertical marks complete the pleat. Make another vertical fold in the opposite direction. You should be able to do both sides .
At this point you should have a small (maybe at 1/4″ ) overlap in the back. Tape the bag vertically along the overlap edge.
Using the crease you made in the beginning, fold the bottom front edge to the back of the sleeve and attach with tape. Make sure to tuck the sides in.
Hope this helps. This bag is sort of a strange design, the middle of the pleats and the back of the bag are higher than the front.

So I tried following your instructions. I got it all except the bottom is still a little bit funky. I’ll keep working on it. I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to work through this!!!
