Normally the stickiness wears out over use…my suggestion might be to wrap it with clear tape? hope it helps! My mom also gets a flower pot and fills it with pinto beans for all her “flowers” to stand up in which is cool.

Maybe wrapping the floral tape with ribbon since its double sided.  Maybe use a decorative color ribbon in your wedding colors or if you still want it to look like a stem use green ribbon!  That would add a cute touch!

You must have been reading my mind. I was just thinking about posting this as a tip in this section. I made 100’s of flower pens for my old work and found that Michael’s floral tape was nasty sticky. I instead went to my local Walmart and got some floral tape from their craft section and it was soooo much nicer, not to mention cheaper. Still sticky enough to stick to itself, but it didn’t coat your hands or anything else it touched with yuck. As for the sticky that is already on your pens you can rub them down with baby powder and keep rubbing untill the sticky comes off. Warning though, your thumbs will be soar for days! Instead I’d just wrap over them, or re-wrap with the Walmart floral tape. Hope that helps.

^ Hooray for that post, Miss Popcorn!! I thought I was going crazy. I knew I purchased florist tape that wasn’t gross sticky before!
