I have some novice cake decorating experience, and decided to make my own cake. I loved making my own cake. With the help of my best friend, who was an expert fondant smoother, and flower placer, it was finally finished. I made a four tiered almond cake, with raspberry filling, buttercream icing, and covered it in fondant. Fresh hydrangeas and ribbon adorned it. As the final touch, we added our topper, which was made to look exactly like us, complete with our jack russell and cat. Don’t be persuaded by folks who say that you can’t make your own cake. Ignore them and go for it. You will be a bit tired, but it is soooo worth it. Beware, start early. You need about 3 days to make it.
