We finished sanding and sealing all of our 150 horsehoes this weekend. My dad is a farrier and I have had him collect old horsehoes the last year to use for our wedding. Each shoe is unique in its own way. Our guests can bring them home and hang over their door ways to bring good luck into each home.

That is a very nice and unique wedding favor. I love that it is also symbolic as well with adding a little extra luck to their home.

Ok that is an awsome idea. Im marrying a heritage blacksmith but he would kill me if I asked him to make me 70 horse shoes by the wedding.

FI recomended a good steel brush and sand paper and then lanolin to seal them. Lincoln electric makes an awsome steel brush which can clean a bbq like nothing else can lol.
