Hair Flowers How-To
I noticed these in one of my favorite Etsy shopswhen I was looking for hair inspiration for my ladies. Unfortunately, I have neither the time nor the money to order all the amazing things that I want. I figured these would be an easy place to start making things.

To make these simple hairpins, you will need the following:
- Silk hydrangeas (Mine came from Michaels)
- Swarovski pearls or rhinestones (Mine came from Joann’s)
- Bobby pins with circles to adhere things to (Mine came from Hobby Lobby)
- Normal bobby pins (Mine came from Target)
- Hot glue gun
First you start by carefully pulling the petals from the hydrangea bunches. I found that my bunches had two sizes of petals. I stacked the smaller ones atop the larger ones.
First I glued the two petals together (offset from one another by about 90 degrees) with a small dab of hot glue. Then, I glue them to the special bobby pins with another dab of hot glue.
These bobby pins have a circle attached to them so that you can readily adhere decorations to them.
Finally, I used another small dab of hot glue to attach the pearl in the center. It’s very helpful to use a set of tweezers to pick up the small pearls and rhinestones.
To make the green hydrangeas, I simply glued the flowers to the top of a plain bobby pin from Target. I wanted these ones to be pinned into the hair straight up and down vs. the other ones that were meant to lay flat. To these I added a little rhinestone center with the tweezers. Super easy eh?
