- Wedding: September 2015
I am pinching the middle because I plan on having the dress altered to a sweetheart. Also, I am going to have buttons sewn up the back and hopefully lose a few pounds before the wedding so I will need the dress taken in 😉 It was the second dress I tried on and I had to buy it that day or risk losing it because it was the sample.
Pretty love the romatic feel of the dress! Looks like it has nice sparkle in it!
Thank you! I was debating adding some pouf to the bottom but I think I may like how it flows better without the fit and flare slip.
I don’t think you can go wrong eiher way with this dress
I personally like the look of extra poof at the bottom and I think it would look nice with this dress as well!
Oh my gosh…this is most elegant dress ever! Pearl chocker? long lace gloves?? But don’t want to detract away from this beyond gorgeous dress.
Right now, am wishing was young again….sigh….I’d want this dress for mine…maybe should order one for our 50th?…is 10 yrs away.
We eloped, spent $38 at Lutz Wedding Chappel in Arizona. A few weeks later we had a measly reception at his folks. We later regretted big time for eloping as we had no wedding photos to reminise over. My husbands battled cancer too many times and I’ve almost lost him numerous times and then my health began failing me. Sadly ALL of our friends who had big fancy weddings ended in divorce…all their beautiful wedding albums ended up in dumpters, while our 2 measly photos taken in front of the chappel now have very freyed edges, faded colors and turning yellow. We’ve had them copied and restored….BUT somehow, we’ve managed to keep our marriage intact…this has NOT been easy but. we just celebrated out 39th anny! 39th!…but for our 25th we had a big church wedding, with our children and grandkids taking part, and our reception was a huge hit, with Carribbean theme…where we love vacationing. It was the party of the year as we spared NOTHING because we were no longer young and poor. Our grandson was our bible boy! Our daughter sang and our son played piano…….all those expensive music lessons payed off!…ha ha!
Sorry got so off topic….but seriosly, I LOVE this dress for many reasons…is light, airy and modest. Us saggy boobed older ladies get jealous, cannot stand seeing young ladies wearing revealing wedding / bridal dresses, in churches….boobies hanging out that can’t help tatenlizing the men both young and old…they never loose their drive, just forget which road were driving on! Save it for the bedrooms ladies b’cuz a wedding should be just that…holy mattramony…NOT holy “mattress moaning”… you don’t want the front of uncle Festest pants bulging and the rest of the white haired pervs get to drooling so badly their dentures’z coming loose.
Bottom line…isn’t about the dress, cake and party! Its about the relationship!…and gifts too! and whatever you do…DO NOT forget thank-you cards…even for the geekiest of gifts….and regifting cheap/thin dishtowels….I got Harvest Gold and Avadado green bathtowels….were way to expensive to toss out when white and bright colors in vogue….imagine our delight….bring down from the attic our old wedding gift/towels….are gorgeous once again! just rename colors= Sage Green, French Gold and Poppy Reds! Oh….the joys of getting older…retirement, empty nest and snowbirding!
Ask for God to guide you and He WILL! because He created us to love one another!
My husband and I can attest to this as we’ve been together over 40 yrs! I was 17 when we first met, so for sure I was horribly immature and still a child! He was beyond handsome back then….but today, he’s white haired and cancer has taken sooo much…but we still have eachother and is all that counts….right?!
This photo taken 5 yrs after we eloped. He surprised me with a Carribbean cruise after I had surgery.
Do you have photo of the back?…if you use bottons…must be covered to make it elegant as this dress screams elegance to the max!
No unfortunately I don’t have a photo of the back.
