Okay, so here is the problem. I am in love with all thing’s vintage (especially 1940’s-1950’s). My wedding dress is vintage inspired with a modern flare. Here, this is it:
I want my bridesmaid dresses to look like they belong…so I want something vintage as well. The issue is that I have two bridesmaids–one is a size 6 and the other is a size 20. This makes it IMPOSSIBLE (or so it seems) to find a dress in that style for both of them. Antoher issue is that I will be buying both dresses…so I need them to be cheap! I have searched everywhere–ebay, wedding shops, internet sites–and I can always only find one that works for one girl and not the other, or they would total like $500!!! So, I am turning to you Bees. I was hoping that someone had some inside knowledge of where to get some great dresses for some great prices!
Just so you know…these are the sort of styles I’m looking for. I want the dresses black:
I really hope that some one has some ideas… thanks!! 🙂

the first thing I thought of for you is the alfred sung dessy collection. My bridesmaids will be wearing dresses from this collection, all the same material and colour but in different styles… since they also vary in sizes.. I have a couple of tinier and a couple of bigger girls. Here are some that popped out to me that might have a vintage feel:
the best thing is that they comes in tons of colours… 🙂 hope I helped a little.

Here’s another one by After Six that is almost identical to the black one you posted. I’m not sure what range of sizes it comes in.
I’m not sure how to attach the link: http://www.dessy.com/dresses/bridesmaid/6631/

As the first reply noted the Dessy group has lots of retro styled dresses for reasonable prices. They are not cheap cheap but they do have a full plus size selection and prices starting around $150. My bridal pary also have very different body types and these we some of the only dresses that everyone like. I promise I don’t work for them! I just really liked their dresses 🙂

@hu0206 I bought the dress from the website it says across the picture. I was nervous too, but it was perfect and super cheap ($280). I took the chance and took my measurements and ordered my size (three sizes up from what I normally wear so double check your measurements and their sizing) in the light Ivory (goregous color) and it when I got it, it was still too small by a few inches. It also has this wierd built in bra thing, so if you have larger breasts you are going to have to get it cut out… I did! You can return it if you purchase from their sizes but they charge ridiculous fees that I didn’t know about. I really wish that I would have done the custom made option where they make it to fit your measurements, but don’t let you return it if you don’t like it. Luckily for me I know a great seamstress and she offered to fix my dress for me as a wedding gift. Overall, I love my dress, it does need some alterations to make it fit, but it is a great color (light ivory), the material looks nice when it’s steamed and it has a great shape, especially for plus sized girls like me! But if I were you I would order it a little bigger because their sizes are off. You can always take it in if you need too.

Another suggestion is to get them custom made
