i think the dress is very flattering on you and very pretty. it’s definitely modern and fun. did you consider adding a belt to it? something with rhinestones or jewels? it’ll give it more character if thats what you’re looking for. i know how you feel though, i thought i found the dress of my dreams too until everyone had to comment on it and made me feel awful about it and now i still dont have a dress its awful!

OMG, I’m on the same boat! My fiance made it CRYSTAL CLEAR that whatever dress I picked, it had to have straps because he hates all strapless dresses or anything strapless, for the matter (I don’t even wear tube tops around him). So I went and picked out a dress that I thought he would like and put in my 50% deposit. So, over the summer, we went to a ton of weddings and he was commenting on the dresses that every bride wore. So I got paranoid and finally decided to show him the dress I picked out. And his response was, “It’s fine.” Yes, he said it was fine! Not great, not beautiful. He shrugged and said it was fine. So I asked him what was wrong and he got all passive agressive saying I can wear whatever I want. Uh, I picked a f**king dress with straps to make him happy, and all I got was, “It’s fine.” Then he goes, “Maybe you can see if they can make it strapless. It might look better strapless or something.” ARGH!!! Are you freaking kidding me?!?!?!

So yes, I totally  understand how you feel. Because now, like you, I’m stuck with a dress I’m not really 100% in love with, and I can’t really afford to go and buy a brand new dress. I’ve been going crazy searching online for brides who’ve worn my dress and have made alterations to make it look better or more like what my fiance wants and NO ONE has ever puchased this dress before because it’s too new to be worn. Good luck! I hope it works out for you. I personally think you look beautiful in the dress, but I can understand why you’re having dress regret!

I think your dress is beautiful. I personally wouldn’t have had any dress regret with this one, plus it probably was costly. I love the fluffiness of the skirt. I have seen this dress with a blingy sash, so that might help you feel a bit better about the look of the dress.

I had purchased a dress, had dress regret, and purchased another one. Then for some strange reason I described the second one (ballgown) to fiance and asked him what he imagined me walking down the aisle in. He says something sexy and fitted! So of course I hated my second purchase as well and had to continue to look around for the perfect dress for “him.” I ended up with a fitted A-line. Trumphets/mermaids did not work for me, they made my hips look huge. The fitted a-line was the perfect combination of sexy and princess. But it sucks when you want to please your SO and it doesn’t work out the way you want it to.

I love it its so modern and unique but elegant. If you wear your hair up in an elegant way it will look so awesome.

The ONLY change I would make is to have buttons put down the back

I think once you have the belt or sash on you will not worry so much.  It’s a very modern and bold look.  You must be the type of person that loves life, and embraces new things.  Your dress should reflect who you are – so don’t second guess it – if you loved it when you put it on – then I’m sure it’s the right dress for you.  Not everyone can pull off a dress with a lot of volume.  Your face in the photos says it all !  Some brides never get that feeling.  Play dress up if you think it will convince you – put on the veil, the sash, earings – and then take another look at it – you will probably love it as much as you did when you choose it!  I would love to see your pics after the wedding.

Before seeing this dress on a bride,  I didn’t care much for it,  but I hope this link with this bride’s photos will change change your mind about having dress regrets.

It really is a beautiful dress,  you should add a sparkly sash. Try etsy.com. They have many sellers who make beautiful sashes.

Like others I think the dress looks absolutely stunning on you!  It’s so modern & bold.  Like you said, you won’t buy another one so just embrace it & make it work for you.  Once you see yourself all put together with dress, tiara/hairpiece/veil (whichever your doing), jewlery, and those emotions kick in…you’ll get that feeling!  I always loved my dress, but after I got dressed & seen myself all put together on my wedding day the emotons multiplied.  Once everything starts happening you will forget all about the dress!

I love the dress, but your face says that you just can’t see yourself walking down the aisle in it. You should schedule a trail for your hair (or have someone try a style you are considering) and get your make-up done in the cosmetic dept at a store and then try the dress on again (just be careful!!) That way, you’ll get a little better idea of how you want to accessorize (belt, headpiece, earrings, necklace) and maybe it will be easier to imagine your special day.

Good luck!
