In a couple of my previous events for our church (I attend a small church with NO budget for decorations. So I use what I already have on hand) We needed some beautiful centerpieces that did not cost alot of money. So I took my Mom’s water glasses that she bought from the Dollar Tree for $1 each! In some I filled with water (you can use clear or take a packet of jello and mix with water, then pour into your glasses to color them) and floated a candle. Or you can turn them over, place flowers under the glass and a pillar candle on top! Everyone always thinks we spend alot of money on the decorations, but we don’t!
Hope you like!

These are beautiful and very classy IMHO. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for sharing! This is a great idea and it does look expensive! Have you ever had a problem when you turn the glass over having it fall or having the candle wax drip and make a mess?

BunniTruLove – thank you! I always love this idea. We’ve also had our water blue for a baby boy baby shower.
MrsJellybean227 – Thank you! We have not had a problem with the glasses falling over. Even though we picked these up from the Dollar Tree, they are very thick and stay in place very well. We’ve even moved those centerpieces from one table to the other and they didn’t budge..
As for the candle wax.. These candles were for Carols by Candlelight in Dec. We lite them about 6:50pm.. the program lasted for about an hour and they were fine. Actually we also picked these candles up from the Dollar Tree and the wax melts on the inside.
Hope that helps! :]

we printed “reserved” signs off the computer and placed in these frames as the head table. :]
