Definitely check Dollar Tree for vases (they may not have the oval or eggshaped vases) but I bought a beautiful vase to do my unity sand so you may be able to find something very cheap!!
@Raizel: Michaels has plenty of mirror squares (and other shapes) for relatively cheap! I can't find the link but I've seen them in the store. They are usually located near the glass etching materials.
I just bought 40 vases from http://www.glasssupplydepot.com. They are not these vases - I got the 8" sidney vase, and plan on doing this same look. Anyone know where to get the 3" floating candles at a good price?
Is there light placed in the botom of these vases or does the baby's breath just have that glowing effect when placed in water?
I got the 3" floating candles from Quick Candles -- the trial burned for 11 hours, so I am pretty happy with them!
Also, got these vases and have tried all sorts of things submerged - just fun to do! I have tried baby's breath twice --- I'm pretty convinced that is not baby's breath (it was my inspiration picture too!) I do think it is somekind of beads on a filament, I've done that too and it looks much more like the pic than baby's breath does.
with freight shipping for less than the $20 mentioned above - they were easy to work with, so if interested, send for a quote, you might be surprised that it is less than you would think!
Where do you get submersible beads on a filament if baby's breath does not work? I am having an August wedding so it is going to be bright out until 10pm - I was convinced this was baby's breath!!
Baby's Breath submerged in tall vases of water, with a floating candle on top!
