I’ve been obsessed with thumbprint Guestbooks since I first saw one and I still intend to do one but I’m so OCD that I want a back-up incase it gets ruined and I also wanted something my Guests could write a message on.
I saw a few other bees do this and combined some ideas from here and Pinterest and came up with the following:
I bought the trunk, keys and key stamp at Hobby Lobby.
I printed the cards myself on my printer. The top reads “Key to a Happy Marriage” and the bottom says “Advice from the heart of:” as I was worried that people may forget to sign their names.
I used a corner rounder on the edges and “antiqued” them with a Sepia inkpad and a sponge.

That’s really cute! I really like the antiqued look you created. I’ve been looking at similar trunks to use as a card box possibly but I like this idea too!

I’ve been wanting to do this but couldn’t find a treasure chest. I do have a trunk like yours (just a different color) and I think I’m going to use it! You did a wonderful job antiquing the cards!

This is pretty and really looks like the case that my charmed dvds live in!!
It would be a great way to involve my fave tv show!
Thanks for the idea! (:
