- Wedding: July 2010
As a former children’s museum curator, my approach to our wedding has been to treat it like the most beautiful exhibit and interactive space possible. This vision has guided me through the entire process since I tend to see the fun, beauty, and merit to many different visual styles and would have a hard time picking things if I didn’t have an overarching theme.
So in order to stick to this theme and pay homage to my children’s museum roots, my sister/MOH, mom, and I put together some down-home bubble kits for the kids that will be at the wedding.
This is one of the easiest DIY tasks I’ve done so far for the wedding and I’m hoping it will have a big impact on the fun-factor of our day.
-canning jars (the Utah Walmart had them in the cookware section)
-large jar of bubble solution (Walmart or Target in summer section)
-old keys (we found them at a Rodworks in Utah, but they can probably be found in antique stores or at flea markets too)
Put those all together and voila!
*This is a personal photo*
Because enough is never enough for me, I’m thinking I’ll add little tags to them with each of the children’s names on them. The idea is that they’ll use the keys as bubble wands and I might even attach a picture like this to give them a visual of how to use it…
*I think I got this picture off Style Me Pretty, or here, I can’t remember!*
What do you think, do they need a visual telling them how to use this??
