I wanted to have some element of my wedding DIY so i made a cardbox, put some jewels on my picture frames and made my centerpieces out of potpourri and candles!
Here is my lapis cardbox. I do not view myself as a creative person so I am proud of my little cardbox lol. It wasnt too hard to do but was time consuming. I used fabric and ivory ribbon from hobby lobby and some jewels and stickers from Michaels and hobby lobby as well. And PLEASE ignore all the other junk in the background!
Sorry if the pictures come out MONDO! 🙂

beautiful i love it, where did u get the boxes from?

I got them from hobby lobby. Maybe they were about 12 bucks. I know that you can order them online, but I am really impatient and wanted to try to make one right away!
I got fabric from there too since its so dirt cheap. 2 yards of fabric will cover all three boxes and lids nicely. DO NOT use the liquid fabric glue in the pen! It made a hot mess and stained my fabric the first time. Using the spray adhesive worked really well. I followed the directions from this youube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Le5jvH8v2Yg.
She used paper and i used satin fabric. I still cut it the same way that she did with the slits to make it smooth. I bought stickers from hobby lobby and michaels…a little glue from my glue gun to secure everything and viola! It was a little time consuiming because I didnt have a clue! If I ever had to make another one it would be a breeze.
Thank you for the compliment! It will good good use next Saturday for my wedding! 🙂
