The Christmas season has come and gone, and we are left with a plethora of holiday decor on clearance. I have taken full advantage of post-holiday deals. One of my finds includes a 2 pack of fake candles for just 99 cents. That’s less than 50 cents each! Although I’m not a fan of how they look, I realized that this would be a super cheap, super easy way to light my paper lanterns! I’ve been looking at battery LED alternatives, but this allows me to plug and unplug my lights, which is something I really wanted in my lighting. I am setting up my venue the day before, so I wouldn’t want to climb a ladder to put a battery in my lanterns or to switch them on the day of the wedding, especially with tall ceilings!
First of all, here are the candles:
All you have to do is pop them in the top of your lantern, haning upside down, like this:
Voila! You have a cheap, easy way to illuminate your paper lanterns!
