i made my table number cards using cursive font and using the color purple coordinating to my colors.
materials—1/8″ dowels cut into 8″ sections and shaved the tops to a point. i spray painted mine white to give them a crisp clean look.
—glass beads with a large hole opening, fake flowers, hot glue gun, vase filler (flat sided marbles) for weight.
to make them—i cut a 2″ styrofoam ball in half, hot glued three vase filler marbles around the middle, took a dowel and poked into the top using hot glue to keep it in place. i then used the leaves from purple hydrangeas and smaller sections of flowers around the dowel to give it more support, then just stick small sections of flowers around the leaves and marbles until filled in. i also used baby’s breath to fill in spots.
for the card, i googled LOVE in different languauges, typed them in a word document, printed on cardstock, glued to purple card stock leaving a 1/4″ border for stiffness. using an 1/8″ hole punch, punch one hole top and bottom in the colored card stock, carefully slide number card onto finished floral stand, and place glass bead on top using a either hot glue or super glue.
this would be very easy to do using an color or flower you’d like. good luck! 🙂
