This is THE dress 🙂 I’m so excited!
The Catarina dress in ivory/ivory – the sample was too big, so I was trying to push in the front boning more and flatten the back where it was clamped so that I could get a better idea of what it would look like in a smaller size.

@xoalliexo: I am absolutely in love with this dress.. so glad that others like it also! Good luck with everything – there’s a Catarina dress board on here, you should post pictures when it comes in 🙂
@rednerite: Thank you!! Have fun with the dress shopping! I’m sure you will 🙂
I think I’ve tried my dress on about 8 times now haha! I went and found a store that had a smaller sample size (than the one in this photo) so that I could see what it would look like when it was fitted closer to my size – it really makes a difference to see it in the right size!

It definitely makes a difference to try on a dress that is close to the right size. I went to try on the dress I thought I wanted (Maggie Sottero Madison), but the sample they had was a size 14. I thought it looked like a big, expensive satin sack. At that point I said there was no way, but I tried it on at a different shop in a size 8 and it made all the difference in the world! I loved it.
If you have your eye on a particular dress, you should definitely call around to find a place that has it in or around your size, otherwise you won’t get an accurate picture of what it would look like on your body.
