Totally fortunate that I’ve learned how to make myself up now.
Are / were you like me?
To me, eyes were most scary, then cheek color choice. As such, I was a “natural-look-lover” for a loooooong time. Its gotten to a point that I have no good picture to post anywhere on social network.
Well, I’m an example of hope, and knowing budget is an issue for many, I decided to post this. $$ saved on make up artist can be extended to the entire party even. There is no limit of people who can learn to DIY (where I went). Of coirse, I wish I could just detail what I learned here, but everyone has unique feature, skin tone, and likings. Key is to sit in, listen, play, try, and practice. After a couple trial and error, you too will get comfortable. My new techniques boosted my confidence many folds.
I got to learn the techniques for free in Carson, Calif. Later, I even went to learn from Celebrity Makeup Artist Robert Jones. There were no sales pressure, we could buy whatever (or not) and can keep booking next classes. In the end, I did invest in skincare, mainly spot treatments, and skin refinements.
I can take care of my skin and colors now. Hope you will too. Go Bees!
If you are local in LA/OC, may be we can even practice in group and have fun looking great.
