- Wedding: December 2012
I finally made my first trial centerpiece for my wedding. I had 3 ideas for my centerpieces and since my wedding theme is Fall/Autumn, i figured that manzanita is the best choice. I ordered a sample of the natural manzanita branch at blooms and branches which costs $6.48 and also ordered the box for $6.58. I mounted the manzanita on a styrofoam (free) and used a glue gun to bind it. I thought that it wouldnt work but it did. Here is the picture of it after mounting it on a styrofoam and put in the box.
After mounting it, i went to Dollar tree and looked for silk flowers to decorate it with. I eneded up getting several bunches of flowers which cost me $4.00. I received compliments from friends and families and said that they loved it and shouldnt add more to it. I was originally thinking of adding the crystal garlands but now i’m not too sure. Overall, one centerpiece costs me $17.06 not including the shipping of the branch and box. Here is the after picture:
The good news is that Blooms and branches is only 2 hours away from where I live, I can definately drive up and pick up the branches whenever i am ready to order it in bulk. The box however is something that my FH and brother can make. So far I am happy of the outcome. I might change the flowers when Autumn/Fall comes but i am definately keeping the color scheme. What do you think?
