- Wedding: March 2013
This my first big DIY where my guests are actually going to see it before the wedding, so I’m super excited to share.
I wanted something useful, but different from a magnet, since I already have three on my refrigerator for other people’s weddings.
This idea caught my eye in a magazine and I just knew I could DIY it. So, here are my finished Save the Date Bookmarks and Envelope Wrappers:
Bookmark Sleeves & Tassels: Conetta.com (They have to be ordered in increments of 50, which was annoying for me, because I only needed to make 65, but I have extra ones for other projects now. They weren’t terribly expensive and they were packaged well and of good quality.
Matte Pewter Top Open Envelopes – Paperpresentation.com – I found this place in Manhattan while I was working. I literally could spend all day, every day here. This place is like a DIY’s mecca. Walls and walls of paper and envelopes and stamps, etc… it was like Michaels on crack. <3
8″x2″ Adhesive Labels for wrapping around envelopes – Planetlabel.com – This place gave me the best bang for my buck. I think I got 500 labels for less than $20. They pretty much have every option you could ever need on their website. I have more labels now than I know what to with, but I’m using them for Save the Dates, I’ll re-design them for the Wedding envelopes and then I’ll redesign them for Thank you Cards.
I used Microsoft Word for all the designing. The Bookmarks measure 8″x2″ and the envelopes measure 9.25″x4″.
I’m just waiting on “LOVE” stamps from Zazzle.com and I’ll stick those on and out they go!
