- Wedding: September 2012
I designed these this week using Microsoft Publisher to arrange everything. I wanted a “rustic elegance” feel and since our theme is birch, I chose birch leaves to accent things with. I printed everything on 80 lb “natural textured” cardstock. I used a paper cutter to cut them into the right sizes (the menus printe 3 to a normal 8.5×11 sheet, the programs print 2 to a page, and the signs are 4 to a page). I LOVE deckled edges so I then did two edges on each with scissors that create a rough edge. I have to wait to finalize my ceremony program and wine selections closer to the wedding, but I don’t think it will take me very long to put these together the month before the wedding now that I have the design all finalized.
I liked having part of the inside sticking out below the cover.
(Just noticed there’s a rip in the paper at the bottom of this one; they don’t all look like that 🙂 )
The back of the menu is a thank-you note and an explanation of some of the things happening at the reception. These will be on each person’s plate when they find their seat.
This is small, business card size, and I’ll make signs for all sorts of stuff. They’ll be standing in birch stumps. (Gold is our accent color)
