NOTE--i'm NOT buying ANY of these dresses below, i only tried them on for the blush color.
the martina liana gown i'm thinking of buying comes in ivory or blush, but they don't have a sample of the blush gown (only a tiny swatch of the fabric), so here are some photos of me in other blush gowns. what do you think?? is it worth taking the risk and ordering the blush gown or should i play it safe and order the ivory?
thanks, swensona! but, i'm not actually considering buying any of these dresses....the gown i want to order comes in blush so i wanted to give everyone an idea of what it might look like
I love when women have red hair! I happened to be born with very dark hair and very olive skin...darn! :) I think you could pull it off with your skin tone! You have to be so careful that its not TOO pink, because you don't want it to wash your skin out (esp with your hair color). I guess it would depend on how "blush" it is. The colors you have on look beautiful on you, and the contrast is great!! :) I like that the color is out of the norm, but still looks elegant! Good luck, and congrats!
I personally think the ivory looks much more flattering against your skintone. I'm also a fair-complected redheaded bride, and although the blush is lovely and unique, I think the ivory suits your coloring better. But then again, the blush could suit your personality more. Since I don't know you, I can't particularly decide that. But just from the pictures I've seen, I prefer the ivory on you.
I am bit more traditional and would probably go with Ivory, but the blush really looks great on you, and if you love it then go for it!
Oh, and the third picture down is very helpful for me! I need to get the neckline on my dress altered to a sweetheart and I've been having trouble finding inspiration photos of ruched gowns with sweetheart necklines that don't cross under the bust! So thanks! :)
