Okay, maybe not quite like that! Of course, I’m referring to the technique to tie a chair sash, as shown on BBJ Linen’s website.
The Twist As with all the others, start with matching the center of the sash to the center of the front of the chair’s back.
And tie a simple knot like how you tie your shoes.
Then take the two tails and twist them together. Leave a couple inches at the ends untwisted.
Wrap the rope you’ve made in a circle in front of the knot.
It’s hard to see what I’m doing in this photo, but you just want to tuck the untwisted ends into the back, so they stick out the bottom a little.
And that’s the Twist!
This is definitely one of the more time-consuming ties! Is anyone out there planning on attempting it for their chair sashes?
