Well girls, I did it! After lots of bridal indecision, and a couple of phone calls to my stylist (aka Sister Powder Puff), I went ahead and ordered a birdcage veil. That’s right, no drop veil for me, I am birdcage all the way! I also did some crafting this weekend and made myself a pretty little feathery flower fascinator.
I ordered this beauty from Something Bold.

Gorgeous, no? I’m thrilled, and can’t wait for it to arrive.
In lieu of paying $50+ for a flower to wear on the side of my head, I decided to get crafty and make one.
Here’s what I used:
- 1 package of feathers, $1.50
- 1 hair comb, $1.50
- 1 silk rose, $2.00
Ten minutes and a smidge of hot glue later, I had this:
You likey? I simply took apart the flower in order for it to lie closer to my head, glued it back together with some feathers mixed in, and added in some pearls to the center. Easy peasy!
