I’ve been inspried but all the cute Mr. & Mrs. chair signs here so I made some to match my theme. I still have to figure out a way to attach them. I’m thinking of ribbon but I won’t have a way to measure them on the chair before our reception so I need something pretty “universal”. I could always go with putting them on an easel on the table but I don’t love the way they turned out enough to display them quite so openly!
I bought the wood at Michael’s and painted it with white acrylic paint.
The letters were cut on my Cricut in the same cardstock that we have used on several other projects, including our invites. I stamped them with a stamp that we have used throughout our projects and antiqued the edges with sepia ink.
I then glued them down and mod-podged over the whole sign.
The butterflies and designs were cut in my sizzix in the same cardstock that we used on our invites.

Thanks for the words of encouragement! I guess they just didn’t turn out like I pictured them in my head but they are growing on me.

Those butterflies are darling! I have been searching for paper butterflies just like these for some time now, but have come up empty-handed and lack the skills/tools to make them myself 🙁

these are great..you should hot glue some ribbon to the back and your done..Also for anyone else who likes this they have the wood plaques at dollar tree with the ribbon attached they are just oval in shape for a 1.00..

Thanks for the suggestion. I’m still indifferent about the ribbon as they are heavy signs and want them to lay flat. I may have FI “construct” something (why take the easy route?)
The dollar tree ones are cute! I made some for a few baskets throughout the wedding but please note these are much larger and heavier than those.

Aw I love them! display them proudly! you could staple a ribbon to it so that it ties on top. make the ribbon long that way you can tie it shorter if needed or longer. =D
