Mr. Dee and I have been keeping our WP in the loop by providing comical and informative newsletters along the way. We don’t send them regularly, just whenever we feel like it and find this is the easiest way to do it:
1. Use Google Documents – If you have a google account, you can find plenty of fun templates for making newsletter and just fill them in. We usually add some kind of graphic per “article” to spice things up a bit. We recommend google docs because you can save it to your email and work on it wherever you are. Plus, you can both edit the document separately (i.e. at work) and it updates without having to keep sending the same word document back and forth.
2. Download a FREE adobe acrobat pdf maker. THe one we use is called “Primo PDF” and it’s super easy to use. When we finish making the newsletter in google, we “print” it to the PDF maker and it’s automatically more user friendly. Then we just email it out to the troops!
Our newsletters are super fun and make such a great way to keep everyone on the same page. We announce things like hotel room rates, wedding website, etc. We also give everyone a sneak peak at what we’ve been planning. In the last issue, we addressed some common guest questions and how we’d prefer them to answer…such as “Do you think it’s ok if I bring my boyfriend to Sam and Elaine’s wedding?” and so on.
