Here’s the story: I put on Made of Honor, started making my seating cards, and by the time the main character was meeting with her pastor for the first time, I was done with them! Now I realize for those of you who haven’t seen it yet, that means nothing. So let me elaborate… I’d say half the movie, maybe not even that far, I was done making the seating cards. So niicceee.
I decided to go with the seating cards around the tree idea that I talked about in August. Here was my inspiration:
Instead of doing flat card stock, I decided to use white gift tags to hang around the tree instead. This is what I started with. The tags and stamps are from Michaels and the ink pads are left over from our invitation project.
And this is what they look like stamped. They’ll hang from the tree in this direction, and the names of our guests will be written down the stems.
I used a lot of this ink for our invitation envelopes, so I needed to make good use of each ink press. I was able to get about 2- 3 seating cards done from each inked stamp. The color variation is pretty slight and I really don’t think anybody will even notice.
The other half of our seating cards I stamped with 2 brown birds. The names of our guests and table #’s will go in the center of these. (Sorry for the dark color- I took these under a different light.) The bird seating cards will be alternated in between the green dandelion ones.
So to sum it all up:
Gift Tags for 180 people: $17.91
Dandelion Stamp: $5.39
Bird Stamp: $3.59
The time and money I put into this project is perfect for the Budget Bride with No Time.
