My MOH and I worked on my ribbon wands tonight…we started by spray-painting the dowels (Michael’s $1.99/pk of 10) and then putting a dab of hot glue on the tip before tying Navy & Gold ribbon (Michael’s $2.99/roll) around it. Didn’t take us long, but we did spray our fingers a bit so you might want to wear gloves if you try this…what do you think?

I like this! My guy wants the sparkler exit, but I’ve been hesitant because I envision a tipsy friend singeing my dress. This is makes for a nice alternative. Well done!

Thanks Ms. Palmetto. I wanted sparklers too, but alas my venue said NO WAY!! So this is my next best thing…I’m thinking of adding a little more ribbon to make them fuller. I’m making 100 of these litle guys…pretty easy though…

very nice — I really like them. How many yards of ribbon did you use so far? OR per wand?

wondeful idea! So many venues don’t allow rice and such and this is a great substitue.
