- Wedding: August 2013
I have a few ideas on how I want to construct this thing – but I know for sure it will be four corners, made of branches/small trees and will probably have white flowing chiffon added to the top or back.
Still deciding if I want to have floral on it like this inspo pic – wil depend on what I can find. While I *hate* the idea of fake flowers at a wedding – Micheals has some inspiring and real looking things that I could make work quite well for this. I just have to get over myself and the ‘no fake flowers’ thing. Gah.
Here is one with the white chiffon draped over it:
At the other end of the ceremony space/aisle (where we come in), I want to have something that I can use to stand behind when I arrive so I am not just standing there while everyone stares at me.
Some peoiple have done doors – then closed them when the bride arrives…(out of a puff of smoke I am assuming).
I think I am falling for the idea of this ribbon/curtain wall.
It would basically be a freestanding curtain and have the chiffon curtains hanging. I have a *lot* of chiffon and I am even thinking of dying it in different colors so it’s not soooo white. But it would be ‘fuller’ then how this looks here.
The idea is that while everyone is being seated then it would be open. Then while I am walking out to it the ushers would close it till my music started. Or it would be closed while all the attendents were coming out (since we would most likely all arrive at the same time…) Maybe I need a small tent out there for hiding in…blech
Somewhere at the entrance I want to have a couple baskets for the ceremony programs. If I do a hanging basket I could hang them from a shepards hook. I will however be making the ushers hand these out as they seat people as well.
As far as other ceremony inspirations I am still a little stuck but will add them as I think of them.
