I saw this at a local craft store and decided to recreate it 🙂 This was the finished product and I’m VERY pleased! we plan on putting clear aqua beads at the bottom of the vase and putting a purple submergible LED light in it to give the vase a beautiful purple *glow* 🙂 were also adding purple flower petals on the mirror 😀 What do you think?

That is gorgeous! I’ve been wanting to do the same thing for mine. Where did you find your vases?

That’s really similar to what I wanted to do. Did you use silk flowers? How did you get the flowers from floating to the top?

Thank you all 🙂
@ CellaDee I found my vases at Hobby Lobby- theyre a little on the pricey side ($20), this one was on sale for half off and i needed to try a vase so i got it. I’m pretty sure you could find this style of vase at any craft store or even the dollar store! I’ll let you know when i find something cheaper lol 🙂
@ ejs1228: I did use silk flowers for my example, however, i might use real ones for the actual centerpiece. I got the flowers to stay put by cutting three flowers at graduated lengths so that they were all still touching the bottom. I also put aqua beads at the bottom to add some weight. after time though, they rose a little to the top- but not too bad.
I got this idea also from Hobby Lobby and they suggested (I didnt do this) using acrylic water that will gel and adhere the flower stems to the bottom. you could give that a shot too 🙂
Hope this helps!
