Here are my cute little bridesmaid survival kits!
I took some inspiration from a few other bees, but I tweaked the little poem that goes with the kits to include some other items. The things in these small bags (approximately 3.5″x6″, purchased for $2 each from Michael’s) include:
- Candy (M&M’s and an Energy candy I found at Walgreens – no clue if it works, but it couldn’t hurt!)
- Lip Gloss
- Nail care kit with files & clippers
- Wet Wipes
- Colgate Wisp (mini waterless toothbrush)
- Hair ties
- Bobby Pins
- Safety pins
- Clear polish
The updated poem, printed on pink vellum with my laser printer and attached with white & black grossgrain ribbon reads:
This Survival Kit was made to say
I’m thrilled you’ll be beside me on my wedding day.
There’s lip gloss to help you care for you smile
If a nail should break, there are clippers and a file.
Hair ties and bobby pins to help hair behave
And deoderant in case there’s a heat wave.
Candy and chocolate for a sugar high
And a packet of tissues – you know you might cry!
There are wet wipes if you should make a big mess
And mints and a tiny toothbrush to keep your breath fresh.
There’s Advil and Tums if it’s ill that you feel
And band-aids to help you tackle those heels.
Clear polish for nails, or if your nylons snag
And safety pins – a must in any kit bag.
I’ve put everything in this small handy pack
So you’ll know that this bride has got her girl’s back!
I’m so pleased that I was able to fit so much in such a tiny bag and since I couldn’t show my girls I had to share it here! 🙂

Thanks ladies! Most of the items came from Dollar Tree, though the tiny clear polishes came from Sally Beauty Supply and were on sale for 39 cents each! That was a major score, because it’s such a versatile product – not just nails but also stops ribbon ends from fraying, nylons runners from getting longer, helps keep buttons from totally falling off if there’s a loose thread (just a dab on the loose thread until it dries), helps threading a needle easier, keeps costume jewelry from irritating your skin (coat the side of the metal that touches skin and let dry) – totally a wonder product that I absolutely had to include!

where did you find the single pack advil & tum?

Truthfully, I snagged the Advil at work but I did see small boxes of them at the Dollar tree that said they had 2 doses, so I can only imagine that they had the little packs inside them. As for the Tums, I got them at Walgreens. They were near the register, but the ones in the actual aisles were the bigger containers that were slightly larger than tic tac boxes, so still not that bad if you can’t find the rolls. Hope this helps!

@IncredibleShrinkingBride So cute! Can you tell me where you purchased the little bag to put in all the items?

The bag came from Michael’s, a craft store chain that we have in the north east. Michaels.com . It was in the Deals section, so I had to dig through, but a simple make-up bag would do, I’m sure.
