- Wedding: June 2012
So lately I have been going crazy wanting to do everything for the wedding at once. So last night, I decided I would tackle doing the aisle runner finally, I printed the paper, I traced everything, and I painted it all in one night. though there is still some touching up to do, I think it looks ok.. I decided to include some step by step instructions too, just in case you really like it
So, first I created the whole monogram on my computer using pages(mac) but word or whatever else you have would work fine
I then had to save it to my photos as a pdf and then transfer it to this software that another bee used that is called posterazor, that prints your entire monogram out on a bunch of different sheets of paper, then all you have to do is put it together. Which didn’t take me very long at all. I had decided to make the heart the brown so that I could actually see it through the aisle runner, and it worked great!
then it was on to lining up the paper and time to start tracing, that took a little while, but I was quiet surprised by how fast it actually went.
So after I traced it I was ready to start painting, I didn’t want the paint to soak through onto my table, and I unfortunately didn’t have any wax paper, so I decided to use aluminum foil, which actually worked great!
The painting probably took the longest out of the whole process.
There is still a lot of touching up to do and even though you can’t see it in the pictures, i have to go over the pink on the heart once more because I can still see the pencil lines. Also, sorry about the pictures, my table wasn’t quiet wide enough for the entire aisle runner so I just have part of it hanging off the sides of the table for the picture
Overall, I think it turned out pretty good, especially for me not being a painter, and never really being that great with a paint brush
