I went to Value Village and bought a large (ugly 1970s) painting. Everyone in line at VV was staring at me I swear haha. Anyways, I brought it home and painted over the photo with chalkboard paint and then painted the frame silver. I’m really happy with how it turned out! I’m going to write my seating plan on the chalkboard with a chalk marker from Michaels. I’m planning to stand the chalkboard (which is about 5 feet tall) just inside the door at my reception.

such a good idea, i’ve been wondering how I was going to find a cheap chalkboard! What kind of chalkboard paint did you use, I want to make sure I get a brand that actually works! Thanks!
