Hello again bees! I have finished yet another DIY project for our wedding, our garters :oD. One for keepsake and one for throw away. My petticoat underneath my dress that I DIY dyed and my shoes which I DIYed covering them in pink Swarovski crystals (over 5,000! with the help of my FI) will all be pink, so I thought why not add color into the garter :o). Here they are! What do you think bees? The keepsake one has the charms on it.
I made it all from scratch. No template or anything, so I’m pretty proud I must say :o). It’s all ribbon, elastic, rosette trim, and lace edging sewn together topped off with a rhinestone and charms :o).

Tips: If you want something similar, use medium width ribbon and sew the lace or edging between two pieces. Sew it all inside out first then turn it right side out so that you don’t see any seams or threads :). Oh and stretch the elastic around your leg when measuring the length standing up instead of just gently wrapping it, This way when you go to scrunch the ribbon on the elastic, it fits snug on your leg when you wear it :).

Where did you buy your charms? I <3 this garter! I’m going to attempt to make one for me! Any advice is greatly appreciated! (I’m not exactly crafty though)
