- Wedding: July 2012
So, let me start off by saying that I love flip flops almost as much as I hate shoes. 🙂 My fiancé is a little over an inch sorter than me, so I knew right away that I wanted to wear flip flops to the wedding. I’m also a DIY addict, so I knew I wanted to add a personal touch. I finally found a tutorial to make a t-strap sandal out of an old navy flip flop. With nothing to lose, I picked up my scissors and fabric, and I got to work. I quickly found out that a little elbow grease and some acetone nail polish remover takes the logo off. I used bleached muslin for the straps, and white organza for the ruffles, and I hand sewed the ruffles to the strap. Please forgive my feet in the picture…I hate my feet. But the flip flips are super comfy! Just a quick steam the day of, and they’ll be good to go!
