This is SO cute! Do you have instructions on how to create those origami flowers by any chance?

I am doing the same thing, I have shades of red origami paper. Not sure how I am going to display them though… I am going to use double sided tape. Great minds think alike 😉

You made these? That’s so cool! Lots of work I’m sure, but they look gorgeous (so worth it)!

They look really nice. I made the mistake of using more of scrapbook/cardstock paper and not origami paper. It’s much thicker and harder on my fingers to fold. But my FI is a trooper and has been assisting me.  Here’s a sample of my work in progress before we add the jewel in the middle. We are also gluing it on to a leaf which will have the person’s name and table number.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

Thanks so much for sharing this amazing idea!  I’ve seriously been keeping my eye on the DIY boards for escort cards since we got engaged a year ago and haven’t found anything worth writing home about… until now!

My main color is purple so I used your suggestion and found 4 different 12 x 12 inch one sided scrapbook pages with various purple patterns.  I cut them into 3×3 inch squares and started folding!  I also have been using hot glue and it works like a charm.  I wouldn’t have the patiencs to wait for any other kind of glue to set.

These flowers are A LOT of work, but TOTALLY worth it.  They are so unbelievably cute, and I plan on using the color of the button in the middle to symbalize which food choice was chosen. I’m hoping to have the majority of these made before we even send out invites though, because 2-4 weeks (after RSVPs come in and before the wedding) just might not be enough time!  I will make all of the tags with names and table numbers and glue them and the button on in those last two weeks though!
