Many brides (or just women in general), struggle with their self-image and worry about weight. I was an overweight woman, and very unhappy. I’d been a bit heavier for most of my life, and after having two children, I was still in the same boat. When I turned 26 I finally decided to make a change for my happiness and focus on ME, rather than put myself last…I tried on a few dresses, about halfway through my weight-loss journey…thinking I had alreay hit my “goal” weight. I ended up losing an additional 35lbs without realizing it, and went dress shopping again. I have to say, I never thought I’d be one of brides who tears up when they look in the mirror while wearing THE DRESS. After losing 84lbs, I can’t even begin to describe the incredible feeling I got when I saw myself!

Congrats on your dedication, hard work and success! I am on my weight loss journey of 75 pounds… I’ve already lost 40! Size 12/14 now and hoping to get down more! My thyroid has not been kind to me and caused a huge weight gain, but now that I am healthy, I am determined to get this weight off. Btw, you look great in your dress!
