- Wedding: September 2011
Sorry its so shiny, It was already put in the frame and I dont want to redo everything. My sister in law made the tree by free hand drawing and then printed it on good paper. I found a frame on the side of the road and painted it black (it was gold before)
We had many colors of ink to choose from that matched our fall wedding.
I set out a frame with the standard “leaf your thumbprint and sign your name”, I also had available baby wipes for guest to clean their finger and extra pieces of paper for guests to test their thumprint before printing.
good idea. thanks
I love this idea and it fits our theme perfectly. My fiance and I share one concern…has anyone had an unsupervised child mess up such a beautiful and one-of-a-kind item? We are not anti-child, we have 5 between us (aged 14-24) we are just very aware of what might happen…let’s just say we each have one of those kids that finds something to get into wherever they are. Are we just worrying about something that doesn’t need to be worried about?
I never had any problems with kids, I gave them other things to do so they wouldnt see this (they had i spy cards with cameras)
I love how they look finished.. even better than how I think it should lookin my head 🙂 Awesome
how big did you go with framing this? it looks roughly about 70ish thumbs? I’m debating on what size to print mine. I found that vista print will print a free template I found on a poster, but I’m torn on whether to do the 11×17 or the 18×24.
so cute! thanks for posting.. makes me even more sure i’m doing this for mine lol
