This was inspired by another DIY bee. I’m pretty happy with how they came out considering it’s my first DIY project ever!
I used this calendar template and used Paint to change the layout and added my engagment picture. http://www.weddingchicks.com/2010/01/05/free-photo-calendar-save-the-date-card/
I ordered the wooden heart clips off ebay and superglued magnets to the back. I also glued (with glue stick) magnets to the back of the STD card as the clips wouldn’t hold the card on its own.
I’m so happy to finally be able to send them out! Next up are invites!

They came out great! Love th heart clip. How did you end up mailing these? This was originally what I intended my STD’s to be but I didn’t want to pay a bunch to mail them in special envelopes.

I was wondering the same thing, I would love to make something similar for my STDs but I don’t know how to save on mailing…Yours turned out amazing!

Thank you! We haven’t mailed them out as yet. We’re handing most of them out in person as we see people. I was thinking of just wrapping the clip in a little bit of bubble wrap and place in the envelope. When we go to the post office we’ll ask their advice – but I don’t think it will be too costly as the clip is pretty small.
Michlle6807 I’ll try to email you the template of what I have. The weddingchicks website has some great templates. They have this calendar template in different styles and fonts.
