Sooo pretty!! Do you have a pattern/tutorial for how you made the pockets?
omg! these are sooo cute! I love that they’re in a different language too 🙂
These look great! Did you buy the pocket folds or make them, I am really liking the texture of the paper.
Also what is the name of the font you used?
I like the little cutouts. Did you use a punch? Where did you get it?
@xo I used “bebas” and “albemarle swash” as my fonts.
And I didn’t buy the pocket. I made it! I really love this card stock. It is beautiful (but expensive).
The different language one here is giberish, but it will be another version of my invitation when it’s done.
@Jamieg: I did use a punch. It’s one of those Martha Stewart ones and I bought it at Michael’s. Do you think it looks ok with that style of paper?
@vlrmartin: tutorial: I cut out a 7″ by 4 3/4″ of the card stock. Then I cut out a 5 3/4″ by ~ 3 3/4″ piece. On either side of the short ends of the small piece, I scored and folded at half an inch inward. Then I cut off the corners of the folded piece. Then I cut out 1″ by 4″ strip of black construction paper and folded it the same way so that it was folded down the middle the long way. Again, I cut off the corners at an angle. That piece was used to stick the bottom of the pocket on and the side flaps attached it on either side. (I used double sided tape for everything)
Hope that helps!
Love, Love, Love this!! I was thinking about doing a pocketfold but it looks like a lot of work, and I loved this simplified version. Nice work!!
I love this double sided pocketfold … it’s awesome!!!
You did an amazing job!!
Thanks! I definitely recomend this style of pocket over the full pocketfold. It’s more modern, sleeker, and will cut down on postage costs! (I think). I’m glad you all like it. I’ll try to post pics of the final version when the real ones are all done!
I didn’t even realize this kind of pocket existed.. very cool! I look forward to seeing the final version!!
@mesmerizeflower: What kind of a template are you referring to?
hi. i really like your idea of having this instead of the 3-fold invites. please please please share your step by step process in doing this, as well as the dimensions. i am really bad in crafting.thanks
@pinaynurse: I am planning on writing up a detailed description of the process once the final product is done. If you’re in a big hurry though, let me know and I can try to send you some brief notes.
Where did you buy your woordgrain cardstock? It looks great!
