Having the post-wedding blues I thought of this way to keep little bits and pieces of the wedding out and on display.
I purchased a 16×20 shadowbox from http://www.Amazon.com for $34 shipping included and gathered up several items that hold happy memories from “Our Sweet Day”
Here’s what I’ve put in so far:
- My wedding hanger
- My hair clip
- Wedding Program
- “Tears of Joy” Tissue Packet
- Wedding invitation
- Personalized napkins
- Custom fortune cookie fortune
- RSVP Card
- Wedding Present Tag and bow
The groom’s boutonniere was too thick to go inside without crushing it.
I also want to add a small photo of me in my dress and attach a piece of fabric.
Any other ideas?

LOVE this! I’m no longer going to be a Carpenter, as I’m getting married in March! 😉

Thanks Janaic88. I just love the Mrs. title!

I love this! But I would probably keep my hanger and use it (I made one of these special hangers as well). I think you did a great job.

@ meowmix318 I chose to put my hanger in there because the metal is soft and I already bent it out of shape once. I bought mine on etsy and have no idea how to fix it if it gets any worse. I bent it back as best I could, but figured I’s protect it as a keepsake and not hang anything on it. I don’t want to ruin a $22 investment – LOL

Did your hanger get bent because you hung your dress on it for a long time? I guess I should test my hanger. I made mine and then just left it in a box, waiting to be used on the day of my wedding. I still love that you do have your hanger in your box as a keepsake and it makes sense to protect it since you spent quite a bit on it.

My hanger got bent on my name because I picked it up by the name on accident. It was at the reception when I was hanging the dress back up in haste. But it also got a bit bumped and bruised from photos and being out before ceremony in all the chaos.
