I’m still trying to capture a good picture (may not happen until our wedding day), but here is a picture of my beautiful e-ring! What makes this so special is that the center stone, which is yellow (we have not yet found out whether this is a canary diamond) belonged to my great great grandmother. It has been in the family for 109 years! My grandpa passed it down when he heard my FH and I were talking about getting engaged. It was in an old, ugly (sorry great great grandma!) setting, which we quickly replaced.
I am SO in love with this ring.. and the man who gave it to me!

WOW this is absolutely beautiful and the fact that it was your great grandmothers makes it so much better. My grandmother had a blue diamond engagement ring that actually reminded me of this when I saw it. Unfortunately, it disapeared from her hand the morning she passed away…To this day our family believes it was taken by one of the nursing staff.

@pizza0311: Thank you! I’m sorry to hear the blue diamond went missing- that is so horrible!
I definitely appreciate this ring so much more knowing that it’s an heirloom. My grandpa loves to see it on my hand!

Gorgeous stone and setting! What a rocking “rock” to pass down in your family!

My e-ring, which is still being made, is going to be yellow gold. Similar type setting – but more rectangular (got an emerald cut). Love seeing other yellow gold rings! this is so pretty.
