- Wedding: August 2012
So, I was visiting one of my bridesmaids last summer and I watched the movie Burlesque for the firs time….now I was only three months into wedding planning but as soon as I saw these shoes….even though I didn’t have a dress yet….I KNEW these were the shoes I would wesr on my wedding day.
About 6 months of research and several rejections from shoe designers later; no hopes of the shoe ever being sold in stores because it was a custom design by Louis Vitton for Christina Agulera…I was just about to give up, until a lady who has a shoe strassing website and YOU TUBE videos on her work said she would be able to make the shoe for me, in my size, 11, with the custom tiffany blue bottom I wanted (for my something blue)
By the time my shoes finally arrived, it was the day before the big reveal of my custom mermaid wedding gown with detachable skirt…it arrived just in time and the shoes and dress look like they belonged together….I cannot wait to reveal my dress as well…bridal portraits seem to take so so long to come back to me. I should have them any day now and can’t wait to share that…rather interesting journey as well!
After I took my bridal portraits, I did end up having a change of heart on the flower on the shoe and the tiffany blue…I didn’t want to clash with my other wedding colors or my groom, so I changed the sole of the shoe to purple and replaced the flower…I’ll post those pictures later, as I haven’t taken any of the upgraded dream shoe yet.
