So after months of researching through different websites, looking for amazing diy pillows, I almost gave up. Until….my fiance’s aunt mentioned that she still had the crown pillow from her daughter’s 15 last year. Mind you I had never seen it, all I knew was that it was white. I wasn’t crazy about that but “beggars can’t be chosers”. The following day, she brought it to me, & it looked like it belong to a 15 party, all satin white, with butterflies glued to it, and so was the ribbon in the middle. I got permission to deconstruct it…YAY! Mind you, I have limited sewing skills & because I’m trying to save money for the wedding, I’ve started a lot of DIY projects. I’m not a pro, so deconstrcuting was cutting off the butterflies, this white organza wanna-be fabric that was also on it & the ribbon. I wish I would have taken a picture of it, there were holes where the butterflies use to be at. After a few days of contemplating and & staring at the darn thing, I figured I would try to dye it ivory. Problems & issues, along with fear rose up. So while cleaning my room a few days after that, I found a skirt that was off-white with a light cream triming that looked like lace. I put it up to my pillow and fell in love. So now, here are the pictures of my ring pillow. I hope y’all enjoy it as much as I did. Oh it only took me an hour to sew everything, so it’s fast too!
And the ribbon to hold the rings is in fact silver strecthy string.
