I need some advice so I went a little crazy changing my dress and I bought a beautiful crystal/bead sash.. but then I also had my seamstress remove the satin buttons and I want crystal buttons.
However as you can see from this pic.. its way too crowded in the back.. should I give up the crystal buttons? I definetly told her to space them out a lot more but now Im worried that may not be enough and it will still look croweded?
THANKS LADIES for your suggestions!

Yeah, they’re not working together… I am a huge fan of sparkle buttons trailing down the back but I think these are a bit too big and busy. I would just stick with the belt – it’s beatiful!

sew the belt on and have it stop before it gets to the buttons so it doesnt go over the buttons or have 3 button above the belt and 3 below… they do go together and wil look nice

I’d have the belt stop right before the buttons…. And take out a couple of buttons to make it less busy! I think a smaller blingy button would compliment it nicely Too! Have you looked at other styles of buttons? Like it is now there’s a lot going on.

I agree, i think you should pick one or the other so it doesn’t take away from the look. I love the belt personally. Besides once you are all dolled up with jewellery and hair accessories you might think the 2 are a bit too much on the back. Less is more I think:) but whatever you decide I’m sure you will look gorgeous:)

The belt is gorgeous! I would stick with just that. I think the buttons are fun but maybe you can save them for something else. 🙂

if your heart is set on having both the sparkle buttons and the belt, like a few of the other bee’s have mentioned, use maybe three tops and spread them out. (do you have a picture of the whole dress?)
however, if you’re looking for honest opinions, I would use buttons that pop up off your dress in the same color/material as the dress (you know the ‘classic’ button look), keep the belt but have it sewn onto the dress stopping on either side of the zipper so you keep the affect of the buttons and don’t cover them with the belt. the belt is stunning on it’s own and right now it just looks like a little bit too much is going on back there…best of luck

I like the buttons. I would just remove a few and spread them out more.

remove buttons ….keep belt

keep belt!! but maybe go for smaller buttons that still have bling if you want the “more is more” look. otherwise spread them out.

Wow, I just love that belt! I like the buttons, but maybe not these exact buttons. That being said, I like the idea of buttons down the back too. (Ahhh! I’m not much help, am I?) Actually this should be a compliment, because both looks are really pretty. However, the belt will be seen from the front and back, where as the buttons will be viewed only from the back. I think I would go with the belt.

I LOVE sparkle, so I would say have 3 buttons above the belt and 3 below the belt, and keep the belt + buttons. The are both gorgeous and would look fabulous not overlapping together.

What does the train on your dress look like? If it’s pretty simple, maybe you could just place the sparkle buttons at the bottom going up the back seam (maybe just 3 of them)? This way you aren’t loosing them, but it won’t be cluttered…..It’s a little too much with them all in 1 spot with the belt.

Is it possible to have smaller buttons? These are pretty big. I think it could look really pretty with a set of smaller, daintier buttons.
