Ok we are getting married at an older victorian house in front of these big windows…This is a pic with the archway they provide…….
I dont like the archway though..Heres another pic of an actual wedding
I want to do it cheaply & DIY too…Any suggestions would be great!

I agree, the archway is tacky. Would they possibly let you use command strips? I know a lot of places won’t, but it can’t hurt to ask. If so, you could do a big garland along the trim that frames the “ceremony nook”. You could buy the garlands at a craft store and dress it up with diy tissue paper flowers. Check out Martha’s site for some fantastic options: http://www.marthastewartweddings.com/231155/how-make-paper-and-fabric-wedding-flowers/@center/272429/diy-weddings#/100157
You could also do scrapbook paper cones to hang with ribbon and fill them with more matching paper flowers. Lots of time, but VERY little money involved. Good luck!

I agree….hanging things from the ceiling and siding to make a little nook would be a lot more classy than that tacky archway! There are so many things you could hang from it depending on your theme. Here’s an example of what I’m doing as a backdrop to my ceremony (only in black, white, orange and silver )

You can ask if you are allowed to add tulle. If you can add it to the center top of window and let it swag multiple direction. it can be a beautiful scene if swag correctly and add the wedding softness to area.
