What we will or will not be serving is not set in stone yet. The options are either 1. Only beer/wine for free or 2. beer/wine on us, some simple cocktails for purchase. Where I live it is VERY common for this type of set up (I have never been to a single wedding that all drinks were covered by the bride and groom)
Being that it is a New Years Eve wedding, I am leaning towards having the cocktails available… If we do the cocktails, I would like a sign so our guests know what is available since it wont be a full bar with a million different options. Was leaning towards something like this:

I like it and I understand your reasoning very well. Cute sign! Do you mind sharing your template? my email address is [email protected]
My only suggestion has to do with pre-notification to the guests. Which ever way you go, I’m sure they’d all like to know in advance so they have cash or cc on hand. I am doing something similar too since that is common in our area too.

I agree wtih happe2together, I would pre notify your guest on your reception card that its a limited open bar, with mixed cocktails being available for purchase. Other than that, it looks great, but I do have one suggestion.
I would suggest replacing “ON US” with “Limited Open Bar”.
I would also love the template if you don’t mind sharing. [email protected]
